This week’s episode is a rare and one-of-a-kind event. It’s our first ever recorded live episode. We’re broadcasting from Boulevardia’s Podcasting Stage with some amazing Kansas City creators. We sat down with Fetch, Press Monkey, and Wasteland Society and got to pick their brains about being a KC creative and what it means to them. We also got to sneak in some comic book questions. It was an incredible time had by all and grateful to be asked to be a part of this amazing festival. Below are social media tags for all the creatives so you can check out their wares for yourself!

Fetch

Two best friends with a passion for design, customer service, and community set out to create a new kind of retail experience in Kansas City and have since created a lifestyle brand for artisan made paper goods, gifts and vintage. apparel. We consider Fetch to be more than a shop, it is a safe space for people to connect while feeling at home in our space. We strongly support the Black Lives Matter movement and reject all forms of inequality.

Wasteland Society

Wasteland Society is a Kansas City-based Street influenced brand founded in 2017. With emphasis on the idea of “there is no such thing in life as normal”, we combine ideologies from punk, post punk, grunge, and counterculture aesthetics to 80’s and 90’s pop-culture all thrown in with an emphasis on inclusion, existential angst, and despair.
